well i dont have a problem with my tranny, but i have noticed that the truck does not want to stay in 3rd gear for very long. at least not as long as i would like. 1st and 2nd pull about perfect...when it hits 3rd it will stay in for a couple of seconds and then it will go ahead and shift into overdrive. is this normal? can the bands be adjusted to fix this? will the quad xzt+ change the shift points at all? pretty much clueless when it comes to inside a tranny.

 

Sounds normal to me. Mine does the same at about 40 to 45 MPH unless I am accelerating hard. I should point out that mine is not going into 3rd to OD but is going into OD to torque converter lockup. The shift from 2nd to 3rd has already occurred.

i guess that could be it on mine too. i just figured it was 3rd to 4th because i could feel the changes and it was the 3rd one. i was wondering if its not because of my gearing with the 3.55's
