Anyone Have this Happen?

My, truck (Sig Below) with 1500 Miles did a funny thing when I started it up comming back from lunch. I got in, No wait to start light, turned the key, and it kinda burped? Then the interior lights, (the one that you can push on and off) stayed on, but just barely lit?

I turned the truck off, restarted, no issues.

BTW, using the on off three times, I have never seen a code, it has never said Done, nothing.

Ideas?

I never had that but about a month ago I was driving for about 5mins with the running lights on and when i switched to headlamps the heater kicked on for about 3-5 seconds. I have never been able to duplicate it. Sounds like there are some quirks in the electronics.

Could be a battery too...cold weather will show you a weak cell.

I took 4 times for me to get the codes on my 06. I did not have any, just got the done, was testing/checking to see if it worked. When I did have a code it took 4 times also. Tried 5 times, then 6 times, to see if they could be cleared like an 03 or 04, but it did not clear the code. I ended up at the dealership to clear the code. Now I have a Smarty so no more trips to the dealer for code clearing.

Ok, This On Off to read the codes, I can't even get DONE on mine. So,, I want to know where do you start and end the key. From put it in and then go forward, stop where? Start from ACC stop where? If from put the key, go forward, do you stop at on, or where the gages blink?

Please?

Easy,
Start with key off, Then rapidly turn key on, off, on, off, on and leave on Millage display shoulkd then either show codes or done then go back thru codes or back to millage figure.
The do it 4 times is new to me but if that is what it takes then as above but one more time and leave just on. Do not turn key far enough to engage starter and if you do turn key off, leave off a a minute or so then start over.

Hope this helps....
