I've got a 35 ft TT and it has the best (at the time) style sway bar. I think you guys call them friction bars? There is a bracket mounted to each side of the tongue, with two sway bars that attach to the hitch. They are adjustable by swinging brackets that hold the swaybar, and have chains coming off of them.

Lately though I've been looking more and more into airbags for my truck and my dads truck. My question is though, whats the best way to make these two work together? Generally we have the swaybars hooked up in such a way that the trailer sits level, and since our hitch is adjustable the trucks are level when the trailer is level.

Do I have a need for airbags? Is it better to put more weight on the trucks and use less links on the swaybars (so that the trailer would actually sag if the bags weren't aired up?).

You're good to go! The only reason I can see for you to get air bags (if your rig is sitting completely level which is GREAT) would be if you wanted to up the payload of your truck and throw a bunch of stuff in the bed which might require the bags at that point...if not, save the cash!
