Aeroturbine in
Got the Aeroturbine in. It sounds great. The other stuff is gone. No sound clip but I'm working on it. Very well built piece. If you have a question I'll check back later.

So did you mount it in place of the muffler or cat? Since they're both gone and all you have is the Aeroturbine, is there a significant increase in cab noise? Did you use the 4040? Best place to buy?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Received mine today and installed it, it just fits up there between the cross member/frame/trans. It was kinda a pain to install without removing the rest of the system back. A big pry tool and some foot pressure did it... by myself, much easier if help was available. Took it for a test ride, most if not all my drone is gone, the true test will be when the 5ver is loaded up and we are making power. If I can hear my wife say that it is still a little loud... then my drone is gone and it is a good thing...(read that a couple of times and you will understand) , between the new Cool Blue Hose and the Aeroturbine that turbo sing is present, such sweet music!! Stop by the neighbor with his mildly BOMB'd Ferd... I could still hear his over mine while in mine with it running, he stated, "Man that thing is quiet, I thought you put a Banks on it?" I gave him a second gear brake torque smoke show as I left his driveway, four tires do smoke well, he flipped me off, another good thing !!! Wait till the TST is hooked up, may need to get a video of that. Some pic's are in my gallery.

A Dodge sales manager let me drive his 04.5 a couple weeks ago. It was all bombed out (Edge EZ, gauges, lift, 37" tires, SRT hood, etc)...he put a Aeroturbine in place of the muffler. I can remember if it had a CAT or not. It was maybe 2-3x louder than stock at certain RPMs, but there wasn't any drone like I had with a 30" Magnaflow. It was pretty tolorable, and I can't take a lot of noise. I thought it was kind of interesting that they actually carried the Aeroturbine at that dealership.
I'm picking up my '05 there this week, so I'll try to take a look and maybe drive it again...

I just put mine (4040L) on last Friday and it is only a little louder than stock under light load. But hook up a 10K trailer and it is hard for me to handle. I don't know if I can take a long trip with all that noise.
Not too much out the pipe, but in the cab. Not a droneas much as just a low exhust sound, but too loud under load.
Any ideas on how to reduce the in-cab noise, short of putting the stock muffler back on?
Power does seem to be better and less turbo lag.

It is louder than stock of course, but when cruising its only loud when their is significant throttle. I can see when towing it would get a little annoying. It dropped my egts 100 degrees. I could not put it stradling the cross member, I placed it where the cat used to be.
