89 ctd vs 93 ford coolant temp sender

Is there any difference between this two senders besides the size? I was going to use a brass adapter to connect My ford sender on the CTD but looks like I could just plug the ford connector on the dodge sender.

Anyone?

Thank You.

Btw, it is a 93 7.3l IDI the one on the ford.

I'd check the resistance, if they are within 10% of each other it'll work just fine. Most temp senders work the same way, high resistance at low temp, low resistance at high temp.
