Third gen seats in a first gen

I posted this on the thread "seats".

I installed a 3rd gen seat in my '92. I had to fabricate the bracketry to bolt them in. With the seat as far back as it will go and as low as it will go, I feel the seat ended up about 3-4 inches too high. I find myself having to lean forward in order to see some traffic signals. The seat is plenty comfy though. Makes it hard to access the area behind the seats as the 3rd gens don't fold flat or move far enough forward, (I have a Club Cab).

When I got my 93.it had newer seats in it.The problem I had with them was the lost leg room. I admit I.m heavier then I should be,and over six feet tall, but I felt cramped when driving. I have changed back to the stock bench seat, and am much more comfortable now. If it had been a extended cab they might have worked better, but a standard cab, doesn't let the newer seats go back far enough.
