2nd Gen. buying

I'm really interested in buying a cummins 24V, i know there are trucks on here all the time but are there any other auto auctions, truck sales companies, etc. where people have bought in the past and received a good deal??? I'm located in kentucky and wouldn't mind driving a few hundred miles. Thanks for your replies.

do you know or a friend know someone who is a used car dealer that is honest and goes to the auctions, many times you can go with them and they will bid/buy a truck you want for $250 or $500 over cost at the auction

to do this someone needs to know what to look for on used trucks

the other option is ebay motors, Texas, especially the Houston area has guys that deal in heavy duty diesels and usually they have bought the trucks at auction and marked them up a little after taking care of minor repairs. be sure to look at their satisfaction rating!!!!

good luck

I would opt for a 1.5 or 02, for disc brakes all around, among other reasons.
I would get a 5 or 6 speed, they hold up better. The HO(NV5600) has more power and bigger clutch, but performance mods are an issue for some here.
Texas has a lot of CTD's on the road, with no salt.
I would have the truck you want to buy checked out by a reputable shop before buying.
Happy shopping!
