Aftermarket TQ converter

Is there an easy way to tell if I have an aftermarket TQ converter without pulling the tranny?

Should hit harder when shifting up, instead of that slow sloppy feel.

Some of them are painted - the original in mine was not.

Mine is billet aluminum, I think stock are black, could be wrong it's been a while.

Thanks for the tips, but what I'm asking is that how can I "see" the converter without pulling the tranny.....

Isn't there an inspection cover between the bell housing and trans?
