Wish I was your buddy.
I have to get one of these. I HATE hot dirty oil running down my arm, and it would be much easier to get a tall bucket under the drain when all you have to do is open a valve.
I will grind down the part that sticks up into the pan so I can get full drainage.

but i agree, it sucks big time having the hot oil run down your arms.

As a young lad, as I was working on my MOPAR Musclecars, I always wondered why Dodge didn't just put the drainplug so it was on the bottomside of the pan. It "seemed" that it would be easier to drain the oil if it went straight down instead of straight out where you would have to position your drainpan just right so you didn't spray it all over the driveway. Well, once I got my first Cummins with the plug on the bottom I was all happy that they finally got smart. That is, until I changed the oil for the first time. It's messy and I cracked the drainplug when I reinstalled it. The Fumoto and EZ Drainplugs both solve this issue. As you get older you will find that you still want to maintain your vehicles but you want it to be as easy as possible. Nobody says that anyone MUST buy one of these. You can keep doing it the old fashioned way. Just don't come do it in my driveway...

You could add one. The threads are the same on the MH pan as stock arn't they?
I have been thinking wether or nt I want to have a bung drilled and welded into my stock pan to add a drain. It would be nice to not have to mess with tipping the pan to change the fluid.

i did that too on my old ram 1500. i had to weld it though. the silly sealing setup they give you doesn't work for crap so i just burnt it together and never had any problems. instead of using the plug for the plug i used my tranny temp sender. worked like a champ.

The MH tranny has a threaded drain plug, might have to see if I can figure out the right Fumoto to put on it...I haven't installed the MH pan yet.

The threads on the MH pan. See if the stock drain plug fits in it, if so the same Fumoto will work for the MH pan.
