Performance Transmission shop near Huntsville, AL?
I need to find a very reputable diesel transmission shop somewhere near Huntsville, AL. Near is a relative term, I have been considering driving to Goerend Transmission which is a very long way from here...
I had my tranny rebuilt in San Antonio, TX with many upgrades. I decided that the Trans-Go shift kit was having issues so I ordered and had a Goerend Valve Body installed by a local shop. I feel that the shop wasn't really in tune with dialing the transmission in and it seems to shudder a little when initially taking off under load. I want to take it to someone that can really dial it in.

I would definitely have them checked out. Usually the carrier bearing will turn to junk before the u-joints, the weak link in the rear drive train. I swapped out my rear shaft for a 1 piece all 6061-T6 aluminum from Dodge. My truck has no more take off shudder, no vibrations at any speeds and the trans even shifts faster. The truck even sounds and handles different when going over bumps. My results were completely amazing. I think I'll keep my old truck for several more 100k miles. Just my experience!! I've been thinking of a trans up-grade or even a totally new mildly built, either from the place you got your upgrades of from ATS.
