I just had 315/70/17 mounted on stock rims and I like them a lot. Their quiet and have good wet traction.

My OEM Michelins lasted 28K, way too soft. So I installed Revo 2's. They won't last any longer but at least the sidewalls aren't cracked like the Michelin's. I noticed the cracking at 10K. The Revo's are 265/70/R17E's and are smooth and were good on wet pavement for the first 10K. They have been rotated and have even wear, but I don't see any improvement in thread life. I use my truck for casual suburban driving and it isn't ever used as a truck. I don't know what brand or type to try next. I'd love to be able to have a tire wear for 40K or so.

I've been running these tires for years on my 00 Cherokee and I LOVE them!!! I will not run any other tire on a 4x4...PERIOD! I got ~55K miles out of my last set and I've found the wet and snow traction is fantastic!!! It's like you are driving a mountain goat!!

I just ordered a set of 315/70/17's for my 05 2500 and am hoping to get them on this weekend. WOOHOO! Can't wait to take some of the edge off my 4.10's!

I was considering these recently for my new winter tire needs but the tire manager at the Reno Costco talked me out of them. He said people really love them when they're new, but they wear down very quickly, and at half tread they will not be any good on the highway in snow. He said they will hydroplane and slip at half tread. Of the brands Costco sells he recommended the BFG A/Ts.

I've posted this before, but I'm tired of slipping around on the highway when there's 2" of slushy slop on the highway, so I decided I'd go with Toyo M/Ts with added sipping. So far haven't had enough bad weather to see how they'll work. I will say, these 295/70r17 Toyos took far less weight than the 265 Michelin AT2s that they replaced. One toyo took no weight at all! They ride pretty good and not much road noise for such an aggressive tread.

To the contrary these things perform beyond belief in conditions that would flog other tires I've had. These tires have been awesome until they are down to 2 or 3/32's. Sounds like he just wants to make the sale and keep you from going down the street IMHO. Just my $0.02

Can't wait to get these on and take some of the edge off my 4.10's too!

Anyone else have these problems?

I have what looks like white sand put in the tires. I have never had to balance them in 50.00 miles. Go to a place where they sale a lot of big truck tires they will have it or they can get it, I run Firestone Trans Force they are a good road tire and wear very good look at them some time they have about 1/16 I think more tread. The size I run is LT 235-85R-17 GOOD LUCK

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I had my 315/70/17s on H2 rims balanced 3 times. On the 4th time, I demanded to see the tires rotated with the truck in the air. 2 tires were out of round, so they were replaced. The techs told me new tires were round and balanced. BUT, my truck shakes more than ever at 55-70 mph!!! That's it!!! I'm done with the REVO Duelers and I'm taking them back. I wished I had my old BFGs on there!!!!!!!!!!

Why in the world would you run more pressure in the rear than the front?
The front of my truck weighs 4500 lbs and the rear is 3400 lbs. I run more pressure in the front unless I carry a load. Usually 68 psi front and 55 in the rear unloaded and 68 / 90 loaded heavy.

I know, but that's just a number on the side! Load those tires really heavy and run them at 75 MPH in the summer heat on an asphalt road for 100 miles and check the tire pressure again.

I run 90 if I am really heavy. You'll never blow a tire because you have too much air, but too little shreds them fast as they heat up. I put well over 10,000 pounds each on regular load C car tire on my hay wagon I use for wood hauling, those tires are about 12 years old and still going strong.

They're just tires. You can use your knowledge of physics to make them do what you need them to do.

Tire pressure is something everyone should understand better. Get a load chart from your manufacturer and follow it. Use the correct rims. Check pressure regularly and change it as conditions change. Your tires will thank you!

Please take them back and move on.

I had Revo 1's for 54,000 miles and never had a single issue with them (not even a flat) could have ran them farther but winter is coming. I am now running the Revo 2's and can say they perform the same as the Revo 1's so far. All new tires feel squishy at first and they need some heat and cool cycles to harden them up. The Revo is one of the highest rated tires for a reason.

I hate to tear a product down but this is my 2nd year and about 8K miles on a set of E rated 285/70 Revo 2s. They are the worst set of snow and ice tires I have ever owned. We have 6 months of both and I can't wait until these tires wear down enough that I can convince my wife they need replaced. I even had them siped this year with little improvement. With any luck the siping will make them wear out faster, like by next winter.

I've got to second this very strongly. Got these from other reviews to replace some fairly worn Toyo MT's and really wish I had kept the MT's even as worn as they were. The first 18K-20K miles these did fine but over the past 4K miles these are really less than acceptable. They are about to the point where even on dry roads they don't hold as well as I expect them to. I'm running 56 lbs in the front and 52 in the rear and have rotated them every 5K miles. They still have at least half tread but sure are on my replace list pretty quickly. That said, I have not had even decent luck with BFG A/T's and am at a loss right now what to try this next spring.
