Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO 2
 

Anyone running these tires? It's time for new tires for me and am looking for something not too aggressive but look good and will last a while. I'm still on the stock tires at 43k miles. Any other tire suggestions? I want to go one size bigger 285/70/R17 should fit?

I am running those and love them.I have the 285's also, great in the rain and snow fairly quiet.Some do complain they wear fast as the rubber is a bit on the soft side ,but just keep them rotated every 5000mi and keep the air pressure in check and You should be fine. [guitar]

Thanks for the feedback, Rob. How many miles do you have on your tires? Curious also if your mileage got better or worse with the bigger tires?

I had tose on my '94 dakota 4x4, loved them. When the tires on the Ram I just got wear out I'll get a set of revos for it.

Mileage stayed about the same as far as I can tell no big swing either way.Did NOT recal speedo.

I'm using the original Revo's, stock size. 44,000 miles at this point and I would guess they are at about 75% of useful life.

I am on my second set of Revos, the first set I put on as soon as I left the dealer when I picked up my truck new (went up to 285's). I just changed them out at 61k and they still had 4 to 5/32nds of tread left, if we werent heading to winter I would have run them longer. Now in 3157017 and still love them, great in snow, great towing on highway, not to impressed when in thick mud, they dont clean out great, but i wouldnt put anything else on my truck EVER!

I have about 250 miles on a new set of 315/70/17 on Hummer rims and HATE them!!!! I had them balanced twice. It still vibrates. Now I've noticed there is a lot of flex in the sidewall when steering at highways speeds. The truck wallows. It feels like I'm driving in mashed-potatoes! They don't feel safe, in my opinion. Anyone else have these problems?

Tire pressure?

I ran two sets of the original revos and was quite pleased with them. They did great in all conditions except really muddy stuff. I got 58k and 62k out of each set. I also noticed the mushiness but that only lasted for a 1000 miles or so. To me it seemed more like tread squirm but again it cleared up both times within a month or 1000ish miles or less. The only reason I switched was twofold I wanted to run 285e's and I wanted a better mud tire. Went with toyo m55's which were also great but they were just too noisy for me. Am now running the Michelin at2's and have been happy with them though I dont think I am going to get 60k out of them. I will have to check out the revo 2's next time around.

Interesting. My friend's running that size @ 65 psi on his '05 qclb w/flatbed mounted Lance. No issues. His are mounted on stockers. Your H2's are a better fit with the 8.5" width.

This is the first report of vibration I've read. Bridgestone's mold process is precise. Hover over the balance tech and make sure he's "zeroing" out the tire. I had to return to Discount with the same symptoms and all my tires were up to 4 ozs. off. It must have been the kid's last day.:(

I also noticed the "mushy" feel when they were new however that didn't last long. The best thing I've noticed about them is how sticky they are in the wet weather, ten times better than the Michelin's that came off...

They are 50 PSI front and 60 PSI rear. I also thought they would be a high quality tire that would be COMPLETELY smooth when balanced, but that has not been the case. The old worn-down BFGs rode much better than these new Revos. To me, it doesn't quite feel "mushy" but more like the tire is rolling/flexing in the sidewall. (The truck yaws when changing lanes, etc. at highway speeds.)


ALSO... on the last balance, some of the weights were about 180 degrees from their original balance! As if it was opposite day for the balancing machine or the rim was slipping and rotated inside the tire.

I have the 285-70 load E and have had no problems with them.I run 65psi front 45psi rear and they wear perfect.Great rain traction and snow i love them.

I just had 315/70/17 mounted on stick rims and I like them a lot. Their quiet and have good wet traction.
