Aftermarket bumper

I just dont like stock front bumper on my 01, mostly plastic part. It gets damaged too easy. Is there other options besides Road Armor. Last winter I slid a little and damaged that cheap plastic bottom, now it looks like crap to me.

X2!! I have looked and looked and I simply cannot see spending under 2k for a front bumper from any of those those guys by the time you include shipping. I can go buy a plasma cutter, the steel needed and still have the money left over to have it powdercoated for that much! I already have a welder though

Just get dimensions, take them to a welding/fab shop. They will cut the plates for cheap, then just weld it up.

I agree. All I want to do is just get rid of cheesy plastic on there that way I wont have $500 in damages when I hit something @ 5mph.

My Aliarc is cheep ,strong and light. It would have to be fixed after an encounter with a larger animal unlike the heavy steel ones but it will still protect the truck.

Yep , It felt the same weight or less than the stock one. Never weighed them though.

I have had my Ruenell for 8 years and 350k miles. only one deer, but 2 Toyotas, a Chevy trailblazer and a minivan and hardly a scratch on the bumper. It is one of the only ones with true 1/4 in plate. Get the headlight and grill guards too. It is heavy and not cheap but as solid as they come. Check the spelling but they have a website. It should be about $1500 for the bumper and double with 12k winch, The are built near Williams in the Sacramento Valley CA

I have to give a plug to one of our own on here.

I'm going to have him do my front and rear when I get the time and money to get it done.

That's nice, I just don't care for those grille brush guard on top of aftermarket bumpers.

Did you look at all the options Evan has for his aftermarket bumpers?
