Replaced the alternator, now the voltmeter is intermittent. Yes, the alternator is working as designed, 14.2 at the battery but the voltmeter shows 8. Seems I've heard of this before, but my search didn't reveal anything along those lines. Any ideas? Annoying to say the least. I'll have to wire something in until I can fix it.

The FSM has lousy wiring diagrams. I couldn't find anything on the voltmeter. The only thing the instrument cluster shows is lightbulbs.

Well, after bowing needed for more important things funds on an external voltmeter, my cluster gauge seems to have healed itself.

Grounds, grounds, grounds....after my bi annual (every 2 years)!?! grounding clean up a few things seem to come back to life, including my overhead information center. There is a good write up on Mopar71 about repairing the factory grounding foul ups..https://mopar1973man.com/topic/13823...tc-lockunlock/ if interested.
