What do you mean by this? The trans slides into gear so nicely i don't see what else I could do better LOL.
I give the pedal a quick shot between gears because it sounds cool, too
In case anyone is wondering why i go to 3rd then 2nd, it's because if you don't. It will grind 2nd. I'm pretty sure it's a syncro but 2nd is pretty much Un-Downshiftable if you're moving at all and sometimes even at a dead stop if you go right back into 2nd It will grind. But a quick pluck into 3rd then back to 2nd helps alot.
And oilcan, your truck has been down forever man
Sarge, The primer and the oil spots it leaves in their driveways is enough to scare them away actually . I'm actually excited to get my Chebby on the road becasue at least it's comfortable and looks nice
Huntinguy, Ever since i put those little "McMaster Carr" metal ends on the throttle rod, it doesn't get full travel now and it only revs to a certain point. I held 3rd for quite a decent amount of time and you can hear how "Low" It's limited in RPM.

I need new throttle linkage ends and was looking to get the mcmaster carr ends. Are you saying that they won't allow full travel? do you recommend to get the cummins kit?
I drove my friends 92 with nv4500 all week cuz I was fixing his floor at school and boy I sure liked that transmission. Its just barely turned up but pulls hard and runs dang good. I'd probably swap mine to a manual if I didn't already have this 47rh. My next truck will be a manual. And I love the sound of that h1c when you let off to shift. It made me miss mine.

Yea i love hearing the turbo come down after each gear...sounds sweeet with the BHAF intake.
smokinblacky, all you gotta do is cut a few threads off the end of the rod...i'm just lazy.
the mcmaster carr ones are so much longer it makes the total length of the threaded rod that much longer even when the ends are screwed all the way on, just cut a couple threads off................(that paragraph was hard to keep from being perverted and weird sounding)
you will also have to drill out the "ball" thats pressed into the bell crank.
