Best steering box?
What is the best steering box replacement? The PSC one looks like a nice unit, Borgeson sells a reman both are around the same coin. Then rockauto has three remans listed for 110-150. Anyone have any reviews on any of them??
Ordered crossover steering kit and dual stabilizers to hopefully fix the wandering steering. Already have a borgeson shaft. My '50 cummins power wagon drives as good as my '11 cummins and its got crossover steering and a saginaw box. All 3 trucks are running 35" tires.
Any thoughts on making the steering the best it can be? King pins and bearings are new...

Crossover is great but it has given me other issues, bumpsteer. Still trying to figure out what is the fix, need to find a dual inline steering damper but cant find one that is designed to fit the first gen.

We bought one of theres and it leaked oil fron day one, we called and were basicly tolled we were at fault ,and they would not warr. it. we installed a new pump and fluid and we have done this kind of work many times . we ended up fixing it our selfs. wont buy another gear from them . last one I got from NAPA for my 90 and its been a good tight leak free unit.

With a $400 price tag (with shipping) on the Borgeson or a new OEM one, I decided to hit the wrecking yards. Found a nice one for $150.

I may wait then, like posted above just figured I would replace it because the whole truck is "new" now. Also thought if I need to take it off for the crossover install that it would be the time to do it.

There is only one place that I would go again....although you do need time on your hands, as he rebuilds units from all over the country and needs a long lead time. He'll explain it to you.

Call Chip and tell him that " T. " from NJ with the Dodge Cummins Pickup referred you.

Yes end to end (inline) vs stacked one on top of the other. Could you send me the part number? I am looking for only the bracketry as i want to use bilstein dampers. A part number might give me what i need to order just the brackets.
