The Ranch on the 25th
tears of joy and exictement. . .
Good news RJ, New Mexico laws are super leniant . . . you can open carry here, It's not every day you see average joes at the local McDonald's open hip carrying, but as far as I have read and seen it's LEGAL .

Just got back from Charity Dyno in Albuquerque. 649 miles each way. Home in 10 hrs exactly w/ one 30 min stop!!
Great event...very well organized and run. Shop really knew how to operate their loaded dyno....loaded for 3500 lbs. Maybe 50 trucks total showed up.
I dynoed 563hp/1186 ft-lbs. First dyno with Mach 4's. Did not expect quit that high...so I'm happy.
Max did his first dyno on his 03.... got mid 400's with just a Smarty.... was happy.
Mike finally got the blue monster on a dyno. With no NOS and no Meth, he did 663 hp, if I recall correctly? Mid 600 anyway.

Can't really see all the smoke, due to bright sunlight, but there was lots.
Top numbers went to a MegaCab from Colorado ..... did 960 hp (w/ NOS). 725HP w/o NOS!
We were at 5100' so NOS made hugh difference, compared to Sea Level.
All # are corrected for sea level.
Chris Brah made lots of money for 5 families of fallen soldiers. Three times what last yr (1st yr) did.

It was great looking under the hood of Mike's mad scientist project
It all looked neat, but I have NO idea what more than half the stuff under there is
The white mega was pretty impressive, he even broke a strap that was holding it to the dyno
. . . It was a great event for a great cause, It was great seeing RJ and Mike "in my neck of the woods" . . .
RJ, Did the 265's treat you any better on the drive home?
265's were a lot smoother. My 315's definately must have thrown a weight. Slight vibration between 60 and 70 mph. Even the Centramatics would not correct for it on the way up to NM!.
And you thought the Smarty was not as strong as the Edge??
'13FOX' - All dyno runs were like that. They had us rev to 2200.... than added the load....than we hit it. Takes longer but better way to do it, IMO.
Easier and cooler (egt's) for the CTD.

Im glad you guys had a great time in NM!! Wish I could have been there.
Congrats to Max, Mike and RJ on your numbers.
My time has been limited lately...but I did manage to install my PacBrake Air Bags today (Sunday) with DTR member TexasRam2500....who I work with. I appreciated his extra set of eyes, hands and brain to install.

Hey would anyone happen to have a spare injector for a 600 series? Figured out that the #4 injector is bad on my buddy's truck (the one that blew the innercooler back in August). BTW that truck is still very strong running on 5 cylinders.
Finally made it back home - woohoo!
These events have been tough on both the schedule and the wallet; first the long haul out to TS just to swap a common rail in the parking lot, detail the trucks for 3 days, enjoy a virtually continous pit party, watch the DPC Drags from the pits (where we changed a carrier bearing) and fix the winch cable on the GN so we could load the LazarSmith Special... driving all night both ways with 3 trucks, so sleeping wasn't really an option.
Albuquerque was better - at least we got to make the round trip during daylight, and the event was plenty of fun.
Truck got pretty hot pulling the GN on the way up to 5100', and we discovered the 'Special won't clear the smoke without NO2 at altitude.
When we were loading after the event, Stephanie drove too far up on the GN and ripped the 7-way harness in half (my fault, since I was in charge), and I discovered Miss Sled's wheel spokes were cracked pretty good (8 of 12 on one of the rears
)... so needless to say we took time to pray for a safe trip before leaving Sunday morning!
Extrapolating from the rate of crack propogation I was monitoring at every stop, I surmise that the damage occured on the notoriously rough sections of I-65 in KY (another casualty of TS-FUBAR '09
). Since I'd transferred pin weight to the GN to help the truck's wheels, the added load blew out one of the GN's tires in west TX - so Steph & I swapped it with one of the 'Special's tires mounted backwards to the hub.
That incident ruined our chance to get home in daylight, so we decided to stay overnight in the next town - which I figured was a good time to propose to Stephanie (luckily, she also thought it was a good idea!
)
We arrived home yesterday afternoon without incident, and I got the tire situation fixed... today it's the wheels.
Anyway, it was quite the adventure, and I'm blaming God for bringing us home safely!

You didn't say..... but I assume, for your grinning attachment, she said yes?
Congrats!
Glad you made it home ok.
Keep the faith! You planted lots of seeds in Albuquerque and they will grow!
I spent a lot more time taking questions about your truck than I ever did about mine!
