Who makes the best cargo trailer for the $$$
Who makes the best cargo trailer for the $$$
I've been looking at the following brands for my (hopefully) purchase of a 7x16 tandem axle enclosed cargo trailer:
Pace
Haulmark
Wells Cargo
Doolittle
CM
WW
Any good/bad things about any of these brands, or should I be looking at others as well? I'm looking more for durability and price than shiny options... Thanks....

I looked at all trailers locally available.
Starlight cargo
Carson
Haulmark
Tpd
Wells cargo
Pace
Pace by far the cheapest and the quality shows that.
Haulmark was better quality than Pace but the Carson had better options for the same price
Carson is pretty nice but not the quality of the Starlight cargo.
Starlight Cargo great quality and options but I hated all the exterior rivets
Wells Cargo great quality but they really were over priced for their option packages.
TPD was by far the nicest trailer I looked at, best built, best options, at double the price!
In the end I got the Carson 6250.00 out the door the smooth sides allowed me to easily install my company signage. The rear ramp makes getting my equipment in and out easy.
I wish I had held out for the double axel braking, but I will have that installed at a later date.

I own a 2001 6x12 Interstate West tandem axle cargo, and have had real good luck with it EXCEPT for the torsion axles. Otherwise a good trailer IMO.
I just ordered a 7x10 single axle cargo from here;
http://www.cargoexpress.com/
They offer full tube frame/wall/roof bar construction, 20 yr warranty floor, spring or torsion type suspensions, and rivetless sidewall construction.
I would have gotten another Interstate, but they only offer the 7 wide single axle trailers in 102 in. wide, and I wanted 96 in. wide.
I got price quotes from 3 mfg/dealers, and Interstate came out the lowest price but with better/more options. I showed the Cargo Express dealer the Interstate quote, and he added the options to match and came in at $80 lower than the Interstate dealer.
