What wax to use

I have a 36 foot KZ toyhauler that I had sitting outside for 4 years without a cover. Well it oxidized pretty good so I ran a buffer over it with Meguiars ultimate compound and it shined up nice. Now what wax do I use to keep it looking like new?

I know several people that swear by Collinite fleet wax for their boats. Claim it lasts most of the season.
I prefer ease of application over wax on, wax off!
I've been using Turtle wax Ice for several years now on everything. Vehicles, boat, camper, sleds......
It lasts a couple months or more, but is super easy to apply. Spray on wipe off and no white residue if you miss a spot.

IMO if you can't keep it under cover, get one of the soft covers for it and use that in the off season. Will keep it from being exposed to UV for most of the year in AK! Hahaha

Thanks for mentioning "Meguiars Ultimate Compound", I had never used it before. I buffed my 5th wheel with this compound and a sheepskin buffing wheel and it worked quite well.

It really depends how much time/money you want to put into it. I used to be VERY big in the car show scene, and there are even dedicated forums on detailing alone.

Personally i've stuck with whats available/on sale at the local advance or auto zone with results that were 'good enough' for me and several 1st place trophies.

There are plenty waxes out there that most have never even heard of and are really high dollar for a BETTER than showroom shine/protection.

Last time I waxed mine end to end, I used 3M Scotchgard Marine Wax. It has no cleaning agent in it. Its pure wax with big time UV protection. Being a boat guy, I used it on my Formula Offshore boat for years and it did a great job. Its about $24.00 a pint and you can get it from West Marine, Inc. Took 2.5 pints for the rig. (36ft) They have a web site if you can't find it locally. They also make a cleaner wax and a combo light rubbing compound with wax in it. Does it all at one time for small areas. Took me 2 days to wax my rig. Not looking forward to that again. Have done it 3 times since 2005.

I wash the trailer with Blue Coral Liquid Wash/Wax. That really does a good job keeping the wax on. It's great on the truck. Dries without spotting as it does on the trailer which is 10 years old and still looks great.
