Turnover ball question
My 2004.5 CTD is on order!! (It was supposed to be delivered 2/24, called 2/23 and they said delayed until 3/5
, I feel like it has been on KZL status forever!!!) Sorry, I digress. This is my first hauling truck and a big purchase. I'm planning what changes I want to make. I'm in the market for (I think) a used gooseneck to haul my horses and misc. livestock. We have a bumper pull at the farm, but after lurking around here, I think a gooseneck would be the way to go. Finally to my question. How many people have a turnover ball? Likes/dislikes? Can you still have a bedliner (do they seal around the hole so that you don't get water under the liner?) Any other advice?
Thanks!!!

I have the turnover ball with the companion 5er hitch. I love it. When not in use I have the whole bed to use and nothing in the way.
As for bed liners, I have LineX in mine and think that is also the only way to go. With the spray in you can't get anything under the liner to mess things up.
Get a spray in bed liner then have the turnover ball installed, you'll be happy.....

yes go with the turnover ball its the best chocie i have made. you do not want the plastic bed liner at all burn that thing if you have one for one the hay the dirt the rocks the what evers you haul with that liner will get underneith it and eventally one rust the bottom out two gouch big wholes or mold. the best accesory i have bought for my turnover is the eye let you know how much more easy it is to pull a stuck truck out using your goose neck? if you think about it bumper bull you pull your self down goose neck you pull the weight over you axels
I also concur on the Turnover Ball setup. I love it and wouldn't spend my money on any other system.
Now for the bedliner issue. To answer your question, no, they do not provide any way to seal the hole or gap. However, don't let everyone be so quick to discount the plastic liners. They are great for certain applications, and if it fits your bill, go for it. I would suggest looking for an epoxy or other type of sealant to fill the gaps left by the Turnover Ball system, and enjoy your setup! That being said, I also have a spray-in liner and like it very much, most of the time...
Just my $0.02...

OK
pros of the plastic bed liner is its way easy to slide pallets of what have yas cons of the spray in your need 2x4s so you dont rake the liner up down side i have found for the spray is the tail gate but that i think is a given becuase i have pretty much taken care of my warenty work for the tail gate becuase i have and still haul a lot of hay and numerous fence post wire rocks and god for bid i back in to soemthin when i dont know who it was that left the tail gate down
so i think the next step is one removet the tail gate two dimond plate it or finally get around to gettin a flat bed
