Towing Break In?
Towing Break In?
My new 03 2500 HO 48re has been shipped and should arrive this week. Here my problem. I leave for Daytona next Thurs, How many miles should I put on before pulling a 26ft trailer?
Re:Towing Break In?
;D Congratulations! ;D

It's generally agreed it's best to put about 500 miles on the truck before towing.

If you can't do that, just take it easy, keep the speed down (below 65 MPH), and keep 'er out of overdrive on significant inclines.

Let us know how she tows, eh?

Best to y'all
Bill

Re:Towing Break In?
Hauling a trailer with a bike shouldn't be a problem...I have put many big rigs into service and they start out by hooking to a trailer and running like normal... just watch your fluids and gauges and don't lug the engine...by babying the engine you only prolong the break-in period
