Tires on 5ver Get New / Run old
Tires on 5ver Get New / Run old
I need a few opinions, the tires on the 5ver are 3 years old. Total miles on the tires are aprox. 5000. They look good and show no signs of wear. There are also no signs of dryrot or cracking.
We are getting ready to load the trailer and take a two-week trip to Kentucky.
I would like too find out if anyone has had trouble with tries of this age or if you folks that are in the know would run them?
I’m planing to change them after this season anyway so it would just be a little ahead of my schedule so what do you think?
You are good to go with tires only 3 years old. Most experts recommend that you replace the tires on an RV every 5 years, regardless of tread. My fiver (11K pounds) has 4 year old tires, with about 10,000 miles. We went to Tennessee this spring and had no problems, and I would expect that you could take your trip with the same results.

That was the thing that I wanted to here. Saves a few bucks that will be better spent on R&R. ;D Just did not want to start out from home and blow tires all the way to Kentucky.
