Re:Tires

I have only used BFG and I don't think the ride could be any better. How do those of you using Goodyear and Michelin like the ride.

Re:Tires

Trust me, the discription of the ride you get with 14 ply tires cannot be "smooth" or "soft" My tires will pound you to death but they are immensely strong. Never had a flat on the truck, just the trailer using the warn tires. So if you want a bulletproof tire (might be too) the 14 ply rated Goodyears are it. You want a family ride with the truck empty, they are definately not it. ;D

Re:Tires

Hello
I had a 99 CTD and put BFGs 285 AT on it and traded it on a 2001 6 Speed CTD I ran them for roughly 50,000 miles before moving up to 315s. I kept a close eye on the tire pressure and rotated them every 3,000 miles. I did not mount the 285s on a 6.5 rim I bought 8 inch rims.

When I put on the 315s I had to raise the front due to tire rub. I also have to remove the 315s and install the stock 265s in order to pull the 5er. I have the power, but my truck sits to high.
I would not put any tire on that is less than D rated and go with the tire that you like the look and performance of. BFG are my choice.
See Ya
Chris
