Sure Pull Trailers out of Emory Texas

Anyone here had any experience with them? They have a really good price.

Thanks

I have a 2001 25' triple axle dovetail they built and have overloaded it many times with round balse and equipment. They are heavy trailers but well built and pull reasonably well. It has 3 ramps which makes it nice when loading equipment with a drag wheel, and, when folded over on the trailer, they lay flush and preclude the need for plywood or other material to allow stacking hay all the way to the rear. When I bought it, it was the best value I found and has not disappointed me. The only complaint I had was the factory missed wiring in the right rear trailer brake. I still have the trailer with original wood decking and have only had to grease bearings and replace tires..... I've also had several folks trying to talk me out of it but a replacement would cost too much

I am wrestling hard with the triple axle vs double duals. It has 1,000 more capacity and you dont have to wrestle with the tire's valve on the inside tire trying to check tire pressure.
My question is, with a heavy load, does the triple axle bind when turning sharp? It looks like the frond and back wheels would take a terrible beating in a turn.

Front axle not so much; however, the back axle (what I call the drag axle) does get alot of lateral stress when turning sharp on hard surfaces with a heavy load. When I say hard, I mean asphalt or concrete....dirt, gravel or caliche isn't so bad. It is a concern and knew that when I got the trailer, but for the extra capacity, lower maintenance and better weight distribution, it seemed like the best choice. I have hauled some extreme loads on the trailer and had to make some sharp turns with heavy loads but so far have not popped a tire off the rim nor broke a spindle or bearing. When I replaced the tires, I went back with load range E radials as they ride smoother over the road and since the tread rolls up to the sidewall, I think they give a little easier on those sharp turns.
One additional note, I had to replace the original tires after 10 years of service, but it wasn't from getting beat up by binding & dragging, it was just our good ole Texas sun dry rotting them to death.
Hope this helps you decide....JB

Surprised you got that many miles out of orig tires. These trailers now all come with chinese junk, lucky to get a year out them.
I replace with Hankook 14 plys when I do, they seem to last forever.
Thanks for the insight. Where I bale my hay I have to make a real sharp turn onto a narrow county road,a dn I think the dbl dual is going to be best.

I think you'll be good either way you go. When I got the 3 axle I was pulling with a '99 2500. Since I have a 3500 now, I would probably go with a tandem dual if getting another one. Either way, I still like my Sure-Pull.
Enjoy the new trailer and I hope hay growing (and cutting) conditions are better this year than what it has been the previous 2 years!
