Semi Truck Fuel tank in bed questions
I just bought a 91 gal RDS aluminum aux. tank. Sweet looking tank-tool box combo. It does siphon right into the fuel filler hose with a splice kit from RDS, with a auto shutoff valve. It's legal to siphoh fuel from a aux. tank as long as your not going direct to the carb. And if it's legal in Ca. it's legal anywhere with all our restrictions.
It was well worth the $840.00. I want to stop when I want to stop.

Just for my personal use, I have a 100 gal semi tank mounted in the bed and had an electric fuel valve plumed in. That went bad so I just do it the old way and open the valve on the bottom of the tank. I have it because I hate having to fill up then finding it .30 cheaper or more 20 miles down the road. On roadtrips I have to use it anyways, buy it at a cheaper price and save. Plus when ur rollin' the extra weight doesnt make that big a difference. I was thinking of gettin another 100gal and putting it in the back for over 200gal capacity, however that is in order to make a round trip from az to fl without having to fill up as I plan on making biodiesel. MAke crosscountry trips a bit more affordable. Does biodiesel fall under the gal limit? What about straight veggie oil?
Just purchased a 105 gal semi truck tank and are in process of mounting in bed.
aluminum tank is 24in diam x 54 in long ... planing using original J-brackets w/stainless straps.
manual valve with aux fuel pump is a requirement for me.
