question for the commerial haulers in canada

my company has an 09 6.7 and i was wonder if the dot would give us any grief if we did the deletes to make the truck more economical. i know with the kenworths and that size of truck that you cant "fix" them. i was wonderin if that was true for the smaller trucks as well.

I checked into it over in Sask awhile back. I also contacted Environment Canada. Our rules are a bit different then the USA.
Federal standards are enforced until the vehicle is sold and registered. Then it must follow the regulations...if any in the jurisdiction its is registered.

This may have changed but so far no federally mandated regulations are imposed here in SK and I don't think they are in AB. I heard that ON can enforce their regulations upon ANY commercial vehicle that travels on their roads but its a gray area.

Never had an issue with it.

thanks for the heads up guys.
i got a look under the hood today, i guess they did the deletes asap. still not sure why im only gettin 9mpg.

doesnt that defeat the purpose of having emission controls in the first place? i know ON is getting bad, BC isnt far behind but i think the logging industry will fix them before it gets outa hand.
