Picked up this 95 Chevy 2500 yesterday. Traffic in the UK is so bad it took 9 hours to do the 250 mile round trip and this was mostly freeway. Truck was a bit tight on my 16ft tilt bed car hauler.

Today i bought this 59 Cadillac Sedan DeVille 'Flat Top'. Turned a few heads dragging this one home. The truck itself is unusual in the UK, but hauling this baby home people were taking photos of us on their cellphones as we were driving

Motorama,

That '59 Caddy looks clean! Is there a big market for American classics in England? I know the Japanese pay big bucks for old hot rods then spend another several thousand shipping them back to Japan.

The Caddy was imported from Texas about ten years ago. She's straight and solid but the interior is bad and the engine a little tired. Bought her from a buddy of mine this morning. Not sure what i'm gonna do with it yet.

The American car scene over here is fairly good but in recent years the interest has shifted from the classics to late model trucks and Mustangs etc. Our government taxes us so heavily on just about every thing people dont seem to have the expendable income they used to to spend on second/classic cars.

Motorama, What is that trailer rated for? The tires look a little on the small side.

Upgraded the truck, trailer will be next.
We do lotsa fly fishing in the interior of BC.
This was taken near 100 Mile House in the Cariboo.
You can see all the deadtrees in the background from the Pine Beetle, it's all over the province.

Empty Haulmark trailer and only 30 gal's of fuel on the truck = 24300 lbs.

Its a 3500kg Gross trailer, the payload would be around 2800kg. The wheels are 12 or 13 inch i think but the tyres do have a high load index. Tows real nice at 65-70mph with no sway. Has over-run brakes.

In the UK if your combined gross vehicle weight is more than 7500kg you cant drive it on a regular car license. You then need a Heavy Goods Vehicle license. I would guess i'm borderline a lot of the time.
