No power to trailer brake controller
Truck in sig was new to me last fall and has a Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller. This controller is new to me, it was in truck when I got it. I figured I would test trailer brake today before finding out there was a problem as I headed out on a trip. I hooked up trailer - nothing on display of controller. OK - I know that isn't right. Disconnected trailer and went to Tekonsha website. Turns out the display on the controller should always light up for a few seconds when I turn on truck, even with no trailer attached. Tekonsha says there should be 12V between black and white wires in wiring harness. I just checked - I have 0V. I went to trace out wiring and there is a short Tekonsha supplied harness that plugs into a slightly bigger plug/harness that goes into bundle of wires along steering column. I am assuming this means the truck came with factory installed trailer brake wiring. Before I start looking for big problems like broken wires in wierd places I would like to start with the easy stuff. I assume there is a fuse somewhere that powers this circuit. I checked the fuses inside the cab and none of them are labelled anything that would suggest they are for trailer brakes. Do any of you know what fuse I should check first? If so, is it in the cab or in one of the fuse boxes under the hood?
As always, thanks in advance to all of you for the assistance - this group has never let me down yet.

See, you ask smart people and jobs are easy. Found it in 30 seconds and yes, it is fried. I will replace it. Now, we all know something fried it. My guess is the crappy/sloppy job on the trailer socket back by the hitch. I guess I better buy a few until I find the problem. Thanks kreynolds.
