Motor Issue

I have a 5ver with an electric slideout and electric landing gear. Recently my landing gear stopped working. I thought it was the switch. It started working again. Then the slideout quit working and the landing gear isn't either. I have checked every fuse that I can find and they all seem to be fine. Any thoughts?

I would start checking grounds. That seems to always be a problem. I am guessing these work off the 12 volt system and grounds to me are a constant problem. LOL

How old is the battery in the 5er? One of the cells could be bad and the circuits are not getting enough AMPS to work the motors correctly.

When I extend my slides and legs I am either attached to the truck still with the engine IDLING at high idle or the camper is attached to the camp ground power supply. In this way I am ensuring enough Amps to run the slide and leg motors correctly.

I will check on the grounds. Jim the battery is less than 2 years old, fully charged and the camper is plugged in with the converter on. I also idle or even plug in any time I move the landing gear or the slideout. I have always babied the battery. I hope its not dying on me already!

Turn the porch light on. If it doesn't dim significantly when you move the slide, the battery's good.
