keeping out mice

I will be winterizing the camper to head south for the winter. this spring when I came up I found LOT'S of mouse droppings and minor problems from them setting house in the camper. I have heard of using moth *****, dryer sheets and some kind of high freq. sound generator.what is the consensus on what if anything works on keeping the little devil's out.

Wow, I am watching this closely. I did ALL you did in the post and had same results. I even added Irish Spring soap bars, and banned it from my shower (if it repels mice... you know).

I have excellent cats, but the mice wins all the times.

Wife wasn't happy

Mice here too! A couple of the drawers had nest built out of toilet paper. Luckily, no chewed up wiring.

I set traps with peanut butter, catches them. I used the high frequency thing and it seemed to work until it burnt out. There is a product we sell at work to put in farm machinery. It is in little bags and smells like laundry soap. I think it is called mouse a way, I will confirm tommorrow.

I have a trailer parked in the mountains permanently. Mice were my first problem. Only fix I found that works was crawl under it with pieces of hardware cloth and mold it to all the holes into you trailer. There are blots! Plumbing etc. I then glued it place with liquid nails or any construction adhesive. They can't have access! Wood rats or pack rats are terrorists!!! I have a bounty on them!

Just wondering, how did you know that the high frequency thing burned out??? I bought one years ago for the house, I couldn't hear anything so I could never tell if it was working or not, and eventually threw it away because it didn't seem to be doing anything, and figured it was using up electricity for nothing.

With mine if you put it close to your ear you could hear a faint hum, that went away so i thought it was burnt out.

I use moth ***** too, mostly around the electrical wires, fuse boxes. I also leave Dcon out as well. Seems to work so far.
I put the moth ***** in little sanwhich bags, so they are easy to remove & put back in, when needed
