Interesting 5th/gooseneck setup
Interesting 5th/gooseneck setup
I was in a parking garage the other night and saw a chevy 3/4 short bed with what looked to be a homeade 5th wheel / gooseneck setup. The 5th wheel looked to be a pretty typical setup and at the bottom of the receiver bracket, a steel plate extended about 1-.5 feet to the rear, and about 4-6" off the ground with a goosneck ball attached to it. I did not see how it was all connected to the frame. The 5th setup did not bother me too much, but I did not like the way the gooseneck whas mounted 12-18" BEHIND the axel; but again i did not see how it was all connected to the frame. I wish i would have had my camera. Anyone else see anything like this?
