Hitch Rating

Does anyone know what the factory hitch rating is on the 04 2500 with the tow package? I just bought a new truck and the rating is not on the hitch like it was on my old 01.

Might be in the owners manual, but I think it's 12,500 lbs (or close) with a weight distributing hitch. Don't recall what it is without or the tongue weight rating for either. Guess I'm not much help after all. Still I'd check the manual.

According to Dodge's website, the factory hitch rating is...

"12,000-lb tow rating, 1,200-lb tongue weight rating with weight distributing equipment; otherwise 5,000-lb tow rating, 500-lb tongue weight rating, includes receiver plug, 2.0" opening (trucks built 11/2002 and LATER)"

Thanks for the information. That is more than my old 01, which is a good thing.
My TT GVWR is 11000 lbs. with a 1080 lb. hitch weight.
