help finding texas hot shot work

Can anyone give me some advise on how to get hot shot work here in central texas using my truck and trailers? From what I have read the oil fields would be the way to go. I am willing to work for a company or set up my own but with my current construction company not bursting at the seams a new buisness venture may not be feasible. Thanks.

Getting your own authority and insurance to haul on your own is big $$ (8-12k). So I would try to lease on to a company to start.

Whre you at in central texas? Thats a pretty big area. Theres alot of companies out there, most of them aint worth the teats on a boar hog. Might try some smaller companies, who sometimes get a lot of the "non contract" work.

I guess Cromulis is not really serious about this. I asked him for a price on a load in Texas and never heard back. No worries for me as I have people lined up wanting loads but I thought I would give a fellow DTR member a shot.

Call Carry On Trailer in Mexia, TX. They ship quite a bit and they could give you info on one of the other carriers that do work for them. In case you just want to try it out.

Hotbshot

I'm currently looking into starting my own hot shot business. What type of equipment do you send out and the weight? I'd love to see if we could do business together as I am in Houston area.

Since he posted that 11 years ago, I would not hold your breath that he will even see the message, let alone that he still needs stuff hauled around.
