GVWR Issues

correct, it is enforcement. However, in NY you cannot get a ticket for being over the rated weight of the truck. Its not in the law. And I haven't seen an RV yet that will weigh 22,400 on an axle. or 36000 on tandems. Therefore the only ticket one is likely to receive in NY would be for over the registered weight of the vehicle.

A Trooper pulled him over and called the scale truck, weighed him, then gave him a ticket for every pound over the ratings listed on each tire. He hasen't been to court yet, but thinks he'll be fined $1/pound.
