Good Airbag Brands for Ride Height

I have read a few threads here and there regarding the air bags, but don't really have an idea on what brand airbag is good and where to get them from, and cost. I plan soon to look into getting some for my truck so as to where it will be easier for me to connect/disconnect from my 40' GN trailer. It gets tiring at times having to crank down the dolly just to lift the trailer off from the hitch and the same for reconnection.

I'm sure there's a way to use the airbags where you can lower them so that you don't have to bother with the dolly at all. Plus it will be nicer to maintain the truck's height when my trailer is connected, even when empty.

What are some good airbags to look into and where to get them? Is installation difficult? I am pretty mechanically sound with vehicles but I know some things can be tougher than others.

Pacbrake from ebay for $245 delivered. Easy to install. I don't think any airbags lift & lower enough for using to unhook/hook up to thr tailer.

I just tried the same thing. The conventional bag's won't go high enough. I even put 4x4 bag's on my 4x2 since they have a little more travel. Maybe your set up might be differant. Carli make's some long travel bag's. I don't know anything about them though. Do a search.

I went with the Packbrake bag's. I really like them. Of course,,I haven't read any thread's where a guy say's,,,"I hate my air bag's". It seem's that the Pacbrake's have a little nicer mounting bracket's from what I've read.

Oh ya....Read this. And don't skip anything. There's a lot of good idea's in there from everyone. And,,, there will be a quiz.

I'm also in the market for a set of airbags. I'll most likely go with Pacbrake because I believe they are the only ones that make an E brake for a 5" downpipe and I'll probably get one of those also at some point. Never heard any complaints about the guys at Pacbrake either. I'd love to have a set of the Carli bags, but at 800 bucks I cant justify it to the wife. lol

A conventional assist style airbag from Airlift, Pacbrake, or Ride Rite are not going to give you the 18" of control to get out of lowering your trailer dolly.
If you want a semi tractorsdrop the air and un-hook style then a full Kelderman system is your option.
