Dyna Beads (tire balancing)
Snake oil that crap doesn't work!!! A good clip on weight balance is better than that junk. Tried them all and back to clip on weights.
If you have an out of balance tire they do help some but not even close to a good balance with clip on weights.
Before you claim how good they are I bet your car/truck/Jeep etc.... can be balanced better with weights, I've gone thru this with several people and they didn't notice how bad there vehicle shaked/shimmied!
I'm own a tire shop so I have had 100's of tires with the beads/equal/centramatics etc.. on the road, had to remove and balance most of those tires. What a waste of time and money!
If they worked as advertised they would be everywhere. There not!
Don't waste your time/money.

I am pretty picky and notice every noise and vibration... Centramatics DO work>>> But you pay for them.
I was thinking of using the BB's in my trailer... Now that RickCJ posted... I think I will go ahead and use them... hahahahaha

Many times a 38inch + needed 12-18 OZ (because they are made square.........) and going inside the tire is the only way to offset that amount of weight.
I would say that too if my income depended on it... LOL

I thought it would be great to just throw a pack in and mount the tire and go, beads cost me close to the same as new weights, but this was not the case. Most of the tires had to be dismounted and beads removed and spin balanced to get it right. Do whatever you want with your $$. I played around trying differant things. I tried everything possible to get satisfactory results. They are no good! Centramatics are worse, they are to far from the tread and only try to static balance.
Like I said above they do help some but are far from getting a perfect balance!
Why doesn't NASCAR use them? Why don't new cars use them? Why don't I use them? Think
I sure won't go back to lead junk on my vehicles. Using the same brand of tire on the same truck they have extended my tire life by huge amounts and totally eliminated the scuffing and high and low wear patterns that the lead weight balanced tires always exhibited on this truck and I've owned the truck for 246,000 miles now. My local tire store even recommends them and installs them quite regularly. I can see why a store owner wouldn't like anything that extended tire life though.

Like scuffing and up/down wear patterns are from a minor imbalance!!
Try an alignment and new shocks. Thats what improved your tire life.
My special magnet gives me 100 mpg also! If your happy with them great, you must not be picky about your ride!?!

Actually my truck is expertly maintained and although it has 246,000 miles on it the guys with the Mo chap 30 group can tell you that it looks more like less than 100,000 miles. It's always had new shocks and proper alignments. I guess the 7 or 8 guys that I also converted over to beads are just thinking their getting longer tire life and better wear on their 4X4s also.

These guys will be getting my business for as long as I drive a vehicle. And I'm going to end up with a little over 70,000 miles out of this current set of cheap Pep Boys 285-75-16 all terrain tires. And that is FACT. Guess bad shocks and poor front end alignment are good for tire life.

Exactly my point! new shocks and proper alignment! that's what took care of your scuffing and up/down wear! If you are only running beads, I'm 100% sure your truck has shakes and vibs! Heck you probably just chalk it to having 245k and not the beads in the tires. Yeah I know your truck doesn't have any vibs, I've heard that before.
Your money do what you want but don't tell everyone they work!
I usually take my BFG's off around 80k and use on my trailer for another year or two. Imagine if I used beads!?!
They have a chart and you add beads accorbingly. Or you could spin balance and add beads. Better yet just use good clip on weights and get a smoother balance
What about beads as a measure to stop from losing weights offroad? I seem to lose weights on 50% of the trips. You would certainly have to argue that they are a better solution than rebalancing once a month after wheeling.
As for me I am interested in doing this on a set of offroad only tires. Right now I have the sticky weights on the inside and they seem to be holding on.

The truck has the RS9000 shocks replaced about every 3 years whether they need it or not since they are warantied. And the front end alignment is checked everytime new tires have been installed since 2000. The new shocks did nothing for the tire wear. The truck has never wore a side off a tire since it was new. I've also switched my Wifes car over to the beads to eliminate having to mess with rebalancing and so I can rotate them myself. My time is too valuable to waste setting around a tire shop. I was won over to the beads by how well they did in my brother-in-laws road truck and in the guy I do hay with's truck who also drives a truck for a living. They both have documented savings in tire life on vehicles they make their living with. If I can get the time my 4 horse slant load will also be getting beads installed. Road Force balancing also gave me a smooth ride but it did nothing for increased tire life like the ceramic beads have. When they tell you 35% longer tire life they aren't kidding. Plus I no longer deal with having to wait to have the tires rebalanced by a shop which most tire manufactures say should be done at least 3 times during the tires lifetime. And I no longer have lead weights hanging off my aluminum wheels. And you would think BFG's would twice as long as a tire they cost twice as much as.

You don't need weights on offroad tires. But if you do, the beads will help but you will never get big offroad tires to balance smooth!
These would only be 35-37", so nothing major, but LTB's and SX's don't balance well anyhow.
