Diff. Oil viscosity

What diff. Gear oil viscosity do you heavy haulers use? 75W90, 75w140 or 80w140. I have enough 75W90 Redline for two changes & now understand DC changed recomendation to 75W140.

If you're not doing heavy towing the 75w-90 is fine. Heavy towing 75w-140 is preferred. I would go ahead and use up the Redline lube.

You can save the 75-90 for the front.

At least on my 2nd gen DC ALWAYS said 75-140 synthetic for the rear if towing heavy. Why they didn't supply it (even with factory tow pkg.) is a whole other question.

Check out the synthetic oils for the diff's. They are very good.

I am using Redline 75W140. The axle went south with the DC stuff in it about 3,000 miles ago. Never again.
