Cargo Weight Rating

The "Consumer Information, Truck-Camper Loading" Sheet that came with my truck says I have a Cargo Weight Rating of 1155 Pounds. This information is listed on a sheet of paper printed in red that came with my vehicle. One came with my 07 and my 99 so I assume all the Dodge trucks come with one. I want to carry a slide-in, cabover camper that weighs 2500 pounds. What is the best way to beef up the suspension to be able to carry this load? My truck has a GVWR of 9000 pounds. If no one knows, can anyone tell me where to go to get this information. Thanks, John R

Ride-rite airbags. My p/u had them on when I bought it last year and boy am I glad it did. Last summer we took an in-state camping trip with dad's 8.5' slide-in camper and it handled GREAT with the bags aired up some. Headwinds and crosswinds were not a problem and it had little sway going around corners.

You say you built that camper? Do you have any pics of it?
