Brake controller harness????????

Brake controller harness????????

am attempting to istall brake controler but cant locate my harness anywhere, is it sometimes hidden up behind something 2004 2500 ctd with tow package your help is appreciated and if it isnt there how hard to install brake controller with out it

it should be a four pin connector either blue or white right next to parking brake pedal...your truck has a tow package so it should be there...

if not then you need 4 wires power,ground, brake signal coming from the brake switch and a wire going to the back of the truck for trailer brakes.

Ive searched cant find it I have the towing package but truck was bought used so I have no Idea what was done to it before I got it??thaks for the info ,

On my "06 2500, I had to use a mirror up the outboard side of the park brake pedal to see the controller connection. It's a blue plug zap strapped wayyyyyy up in the top corner behind where the brake pedal attaches to the firewall. There were 2 bolts holding a big white electrical box thing which I removed, cut the brake controller connector free and rebolted. Take a look at yours, it should be the same if you have the factory tow package.

Here you go it's on top of the white cover..leave it in place and plug in your controller harness.. I bumped this up on another post as well...

It's kind of in a bad place with that loom of wires right in front of it. I just pulled them down a bit and got the top of the connector in then pushed the wires down with the conector and slid it in. You can always remove the white box if you have trouble with that.
