Boat Transporter

Looking to get a boat transported from upstate NY to NC. Its a 1989 Celebrity 298. Its to big to tow with the truck so I am looking into getting it transorted here. Got a quote today for 2600. Is this right or are there cheaper transporters? I guess its the width thats making this a pain so its considered oversized. Thanks for the help.

Wide loads are a PIA, not knowing your exact location for an accurate guess.....I'd say its a fair price. About $3 a mile??

Your truck will pull it with no problems. It would be cheaper since it is yours to call each state and ask if you need a permit. You will only be able to pull during daylight hours on the route they give you. Try starting with www.boatus.com they have a permit service.
