Bedsaver by BlueOx - anyone using one?
Curious if anyone is using a Bedsaver by BlueOx on their fifth wheel hitch? It looks like something I want to get. If you have one installed, let me know what you think of the thing. Before you look and say "who would need one of those?", know this...I showed some buddies this thing last summer. They scoffed at it. Last fall I was talking to one of them and happened to notice his truck box was a bit bent. He admitted he dropped the trailer on the truck.
I had to do all I could to stop from laughing.

yup I seen a lot of people who should of had one ,I think I will be getting one ,But before I raise the landing jacks I always give a test pull, but whats gona stop some dirt bag from pulling the release with out you around?
I have a bed saver on my hitch and I always do the pull test also.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is you need to raise the king pin above the bed saver enough to clear it. Than lower the king pin a little to engage the jaws on the hitch. The bed saver also adds some more weight to the hitch frame. So it is a little heavier when pulling and lifting the hitch out of the truck. I removed my hitch in the winter and reinstall the hitch during the camping season.
