b&w eyelet ball

b&w eyelet ball

my buddys boss was pullin a 40 foot hay trailer and another trailer hooked to it all loaded with hay and his ball broke cause the trailers to flip b&w says theve never heard of one of there ***** breakin but they gave him a new one and offered to pay for damagees to trailers if insurance owuldnt cover all of it.
has anybody else had this happen?

OOOHHHH OUCH! That seems like a lot of weight, aren't the B&W's only rated for around 36k lbs? Not sure exactly how that works. What kind of truck? Do much damage to the truck? did his chains save the trailers at all? I fear this more than anything when pulling... Glad he's ok

2000 dodge flatbed 5spd no damage to the truck i dont think he had chains hooked its probaly a good thin he didnt well my buddy said that the weld on the bottom of the ball plate like the part that goes into the gooseneck just had one crapy little weld

Terrible to see something like that happen but also good to see that b&w stands behind their product and offered to pay to repair.

I have never heard of one of those breaking off before...
