Any thoughts on putting a set of truck rims and tires on my trailer
I have a jayco eagle 341 rlqs. It has 16" 8 bolt rims, and 235 80 16 tires. A friend has a set of rims off of an old truck of his, they just happen to match the rims on my truck. They are 16 x 6.5" and the tires are 245, 70 16. Do you think that this will work? I believe that the bolt pattern is the same.
Thanks

Trailer tires need a very strong sidewall. The sidewall gets a great deal of stress when backing. B.F. Goodrich commerical (I Believe) has a 3 ply side wall that a lot of haulers like.

Sounds like a nice upgrade! Are the wheels aluminum? I broke a set of car-type aluminum wheels installed on a homemade bunkhouse trailer backing into a tight spot during deer season. The center section was not used to the side loading that tandem trailer axles get while being pushed into tight turns. They were definitely aluminum car rims, 4-bolt Ford from a Tempo, if I remember right, not truck rims.

They are truck rims, I think that they might be aluminum,, not sure. I think that they are of the same construction that the upperline 5ers have on them
