79 Argosy Trailer, 24ft
79 Argosy Trailer, 24ft
Hi everyone,
I am thinking of going back to towing a trailer and was looking to check out a 1979 Argosy trailer, 24ft model. Has everything working (don't know about A/C yet) and is supposedly in good shape.
Did the Argosy models suffer from the same rear bathroom problems as the Airstreams of the 70's?
I haven't yet looked at it, but will do so in the next few days. Would appreciate any comments re unit and would like to know what to look for over and above the obvious (leaks, tires, electrical, etc.). Any info would be greatly appreciated as I think this one might just be a good buy.
Thanks in advance for any and all comments (pro's and cons).

Re:79 Argosy Trailer, 24ft
If it looks in good shape, don't worry about the rear sag. The shorter trailers did not have much trouble in any case, and it is a pretty easy fix.
Check the obvious stuff, and with the Argosy be really careful of the windows, because those front wrap arounds are VERY $$$.
The refrigerator and awnings are the most expensive things.
