2nd Gen hitch on a 1st Gen?

I wanted to know if a hitch from a 2nd Gen (94-02) would fit a 1st Gen truck. I have a '93 D-250 CTD. The hitch is off a '99. The only hitch I have now is a ball in the bumper. Thank you in advance for any info, Patrick.

it should fit for i think the frames are the same
