07 underpowered?

A friend of mine bought a new 07 CTD 6 speed, crewcab, and the thing won't spank mine loaded or unloaded on level 2 on the edge,is there something strange about the way the are rating the newer trucks? its supposed to have 325hp (he said) but my pump aint tapped, and that makes a +65hp difference.
so 245+65=310 hp right? what gives?

My '07 was a dog stock as was my '99. I installed a Smarty on the '07 and it's a different vehicle now. Plenty of power on the low levels.

remember the new truck ratings are not at the wheels, and the emmisions software doesn't give a ton of torque down low.

My friend has the same truck. It does OK, but it is still opening the waste gate too early between 2000-2500rpm. It's really noticable now with the AFE-II. Turbo spools,& then dumps several times between those rpm's. He's called DC several times, & they say they've never heard of that problem before. Does yours do that too?

I think you are way off base, the tube flows an additional 100 cfm with the vanes in place on a flow bench.............
