Agree with the est, the way it is now is fine...except for the blue scroll bar...

 

Present color scheme works well. Great site by the way. Been a lurker for quite some time now. Excellent info, links, etc.

 

Nothing corny about finding peoples' preferences, Jack. I like the grey/silver. I had the forest green scheme for a long time on my Windows 98 system. I loved the grey/tan/dark green scheme. I don't mind the scroll bar, but I rarely use it, prefering the wheel on my mouse. I think the color scheme works very well.

 

Grey is good.

I wonder if thats a age thing.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. I'm surprised though that the overwhelming majority is good with grey. I like it too.

Don't change it! I like it just the way it is and it seems most others do too. I think the grey is easiest on the eyes.

 

White background and colored text [perhaps some shade of darkish red]. BTW, the site works MUCH better now than it did when I first starting reading it, so keep up with those improvements. Great Job!

Yes, Jack, I'm quite surprised with the poll results as well??? Perhaps folks just get "comfortable" with things after they've looked at them for a while...

I also agree with the previous poster, the blue bar to the right of each page should be reconsidered...JMHO

I'm in with the grey. I kinda like the blue scroll bar myself.

All in all, I like this format much better than the last one, and even the old format here was better than the latest format of the "other" board

Thanks for participating guys. I'm not making any changes to the look until the new server comes. Even then, it's not going to be anything significant. I know there are a lot of sites out there that make themselves very busy in terms of their page design, but keeping it simple is key in my opinion. Makes it easy to find things, and people can quickly see the information they're looking for.

 

Jack, as I said before, it's fine the way it is with the exception of the vertical scroll bar. Please, please, please change the contrast to make it more visable.
