Question Using previously posted pictures

I'd like to use a picture I posted some time ago to a forum on the site. With the old software the jpeg was stored and could be retrieved and reused. With the new software, it seems to be stored in the old post itself, and can't be referenced. Is there a way I can reuse it, or is this not possible now?

Hey Tom,
The only way I have figured out how to do it, is to find it in the old post,,, download it to your PC and give it another file name. Then you can upload it as an attachment in another post.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, At least that's the way I think I've done it before,,,,,,,,,,

I just had to do that yesterday.

I wanted the pic of my melted mudflaps to put in a recent post.
Tried referencing my original posting, but it didn't work.

Figured it'd be best to just put it in my album, and link from there,
rather than reattaching each time I wanted it.

You have to rename it and also have to alter the size to make it look like a new picture to the software.
