Uploading attachments..

Usually, I answer these kinds of questions, but this one stumped me.

I uploaded some pics via the manage attachments button onto one thread. Later, I tried to upload the same pictures from my desktop to another thread, and it would not let me, the error message that I got said that I already had them loaded to the server. I tried to wrap Img tags around the url, but that did not work either. All it would let me do is have the link in the 2nd thread, not actually have the picture posted. I ended up deleting the pics off the first thread so I could use them on the second one.

Getting to the point, is there anyway to upload the same pics via 'manage attachments,' and have them show up on 2 different threads?

TIA-
madhat

You can only attach a pic one time.
If you upload it to your gallery, you can link to it as many times as you want.

Nope... It's the way the image is saved to the server. You can't use it a second time. What you can do is rename the image on your hard drive and upload it again.

If you put it in your album here, you can put it in as many posts as you want, over and over and over again.

That may be true. It's not that big of a deal. I was going to load them into my pics anyway. Just wondering if I was computer stupid or something.

Thanks, all that posted replys...
