could someone provide me a link to the site rules. also would it be possible to set the members photo gallery link to open in a new window?

At the bottom of this (and every) page, there is a link titled "DTR Privacy Policy".
That link contains the site rules and a lot of useful info.

thanks i was specifically looking for what types of items and rules for posts in the classifieds

We've recently added the rules for the Classifieds to the privacy policy under the forum rules. Also, in reference to the gallery link, I've found that most people don't like having a lot of windows opening up when surfing a site. In addition, some pop-up blockers will not let the window open. In light of that, we did it this way to make the site as easy to use as possible. I might consider doing that if the majority wants it.

I'm a little out of my area of expertise here (OK, a LOT), but you could right click the link and use the "open in a new window" function as a compromise.
